IAGD Mastertrack (CE) -Lessons Learned from 30 Years of Managing Acrylic & Occlusal/Restorat

Arlington Heights Dentist

On October 25-26, 2013, Dr. Dzakovich will be one of the featured speakers to speak at the MasterTrack Continuing Education Program. Be sure to visit the Illinois Academy of General Dentistry  website for more details or to register.

Since the 1600’s, our profession has been wrestling with conceptions about dental occlusion. Given the numerous hypotheses, for the student of occlusion, this may result in a perplexing journey to master and utilize the current principles of the science. This course draws on the wisdom of occlusal principles gleaned from both experiential learning and gnathological principles of the last half century. It will assist the student in clarification of his/her treatment philosophy and provide concrete solutions to the recognition, diagnosis and management of occlusal disorders. It will also provide tangible methods to assist the clinician in relating these disorders to their patients.

Course Objectives:

Optimize one’s powers of occlusal awareness.

Recognize occlusal disease, crown disease, & restorative disease.

Remove the insecurity of decision making related to occlusion & restorative dentistry.

Design an occlusion that both you & your patient can live with.

Understand the clinical management of occlusal disorders.

Master the use of articulating devices.

Incorporate occlusal therapy profitably into a restorative practice.
